The state of North Carolina is bringing in more revenue than expected, $71 million more. Surely a few million of that largess could go to fund Mecklenburg’s chronically underfunded courts, a basic function of government after all.
My wish for the New Year is that our local delegation would get right on this issue. Wait, back up. Make that I wish that Mecklenburg had a delegation in Raleigh.
