OK, let’s review the week.
Both the City of Greensboro and Guilford County warn us about the misery that’s coming down the pipe as a result of budget shortfalls.
At the same time, the local paper of record, dutifully doing its job, reports on a funding request from the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship, a proposed ‘renovation’ of War Memorial Stadium and now incentives for a data center, the identity of which must be kept double-super secret due to its —-oooooooh ——‘sensitive nature.’
I realize the funding for War Memorial Stadium has already been allocated —with two-thirds bonds, no less —– but but right off the bat I’ll wonder if the nice renderings posted over at David Hoggard’s blog can be pulled off for a mere $1.3 million.
