The Antiplanner takes a look at a proposed $200 million commuter rail line. Interesting that he actually believes that a commuter bus line would be a better alternative and, considering the fact that it would be an eighth of the cost of the rail line, it probably is.
All I know is I was in Milwaukee late last year and I’ve never seen so many empty city buses in my life. They were running everywhere downtown, but with nobody on them. Made Greensboro’s buses look SRO.
Buses are empty, so run a rail line. More insight into the minds of the mass transit guys.
