Civitas’ Brian Balfour lets the N&O Steve Ford hear it over his article supporting public campaign financing, calling into question Ford’s declaration that it has “yielded good results” in judicial elections.
The N&R made the same argument, stating public financing “has had a positive effect in North Carolina’s statewide judicial campaigns” because most judicial candidates have participated in the public system and run without tawdry fundraising.”
At least the N&R acknowledges President Obama is totally giving public campaign financing the finger with his billion-dollar campaign.
