The Senate GOP also highlighted Carolina Journal Associate Editor Dan Way‘s column on legislators’ continuing frustration about Medicaid cost overruns.

The News & Observer‘s “Under the Dome” blog and N.C. Senate Republicans cited Don Carrington’s article on state Rep. Michael Wray’s tax debt. A follow-up N&O story on Wray’s campaign finances cited Carrington’s story, and the Roanoke Rapids Daily Herald noted Carrington’s work as well.

The N.C. Spin website promoted Becki Gray’s “Locker Room” blog entry panning state film incentives, along with Mitch Kokai’s “Locker Room” entry on Medicaid fraud, and Way’s column on Medicaid budget concerns.  The Richmond County Daily Journal interviewed Kokai for an article about fireworks sales. A WRAL story on Gov. Pat McCrory’s NC GEAR government efficiency initiative noted that NC GEAR deputy director Joe Coletti is a former John Locke Foundation fiscal staffer.
