Michael Medved opened today’s show with harsh criticism of the NC GOP Wright/Obama ad, calling it ‘stupid’ and ‘the worst kind of guilt by association with simply no relationship to the candidates,’ adding that John McCain was absolutely right to denounce the ad.
Note that Medved is a strong critic of Obama, offering (in my opinion) by far the most reasoned argument why he should not be elected president. He’s also huge McCain fan, stumping for him long before the nomination was locked up.
Unrelated: Medved gives Harold and Kumar Escpape from Guantanamo Bay zero stars, saying if it’s your idea of comedy, please see a psychiatrist. Oops.
But the NYT’s A.O. Scott liked it. But in Scott’s mind, the last seven years under the Bush administration is the real “dumb, dirty joke.”
