Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker is lobbying the federal government for a share of the “economic stimulus” package being created by President-elect Obama’s transition team, according to a city press release.
Four of Meeker’s funding requests relate to “sustainability,” totaling almost $5 million. He pointed out at a press confeence today that “not only will these projects bring immediate economic stimulus and benefit to the residents, they fill the Obama Administration’s priorities.”
