Well, lets see how this thing develops. Right now the duopoly candidates sound like two sides of the same coin.

The CBJ described the first face-to-face as “both candidates pledging to concentrate on improving the economy.”

The Uptown paper? “There were no sparks and little disagreement as the two at-large city council members outlined their records and plans. In the shrinking economy, both pledged to bring the city new jobs.”

Super. Clear consensus that the next mayor should try to do the impossible, probably while ignoring the doable like restraining city spending while protecting the General Fund from various pot-o-gold schemes undertaken the past decade.
