The Week that Was,Dr. Fred Singer’s weekly e-newsletter, leads this week with the following quote.

H.L. Mencken: “The urge to save humanity is almost
always a false front for the urge to rule it.”

This is especially
true of global warming alarmists. They all acknowledge that nothing
they are suggesting will have any noticable impact on the climate. This
means that they are proposing policies that tell people how and where
to live and travel; what they can and cannot consume; and what to
produce and and how to produce it, not because it will impact the
climate but because they want to make over society in their own image.
Can anyone be serious in thinking that the term eco-fascist doesn’t
apply?

Fred Singer’s organization is The Science and Environmental Policy Project. His current newsletter which came out today is not yet posted.
