Rep. Mel Watt tells the crowd at Winston-Salem State University that the $787 billion stimulus package “will touch every single person in this room, and every single person in North Carolina and throughout the nation in one way or the other.”

I also have to wonder about Watt’s ‘break even’ logic:

Watt said that Obama and congressional Democrats are not risking their political futures if the stimulus plan doesn’t turn the economy around within two years.

“It’s hard to get credit for stopping more bad things, such as more people losing their jobs, from happening,” Watt said.
