Speaking with a straight face:

The City of Hendersonville is inviting public input on its comprehensive, 20-year plan. The public meeting will be held Saturday, July 12. The time and place were not published with the article in the Times-News. The plan will address “a range of topics such as land use, growth area, future land use, transportation, environmental preservation, economic development, parks and recreation, public buildings, cultural resources and historic preservation.”

According to the reporter’s paraphrase of city planner Sue Anderson, “The planning process is designed to accomplish preserving and protecting the character and quality of life for which Hendersonville is known, to improve areas of concern throughout the city and to promote new investment in Hendersonville.”
