Hang onto your seats, everyone. Tired of your grocery bill going up and up each week? Inflation is the problem we face today, but a recession could be the problem we face tomorrow. Retired NC State economist Mike Walden says a recession could be coming later this year. It all depends on how successful – or unsuccessful – the Federal Reserve is at trying to tamp down inflation.

Professor Walden describes the Fed’s task as “a thin wedge there to navigate through.” At Monday’s virtual Shaftesbury forum, Walden explained what to watch for, and what it could mean to your wallet and your family.
