One of many unfortunate byproducts of budget discussions is the increased likelihood that the state will raise the minimum wage by a dollar.  Despite sound arguments against the misinformed reasoning behind the minimum wage, it looks like politicians are siding with the unschooled heart instead of the reasoned head. In the Daily Advance, Roy Cordato lays out perhaps the best explanation of why the minimum wage is a cruel hoax – a must read for those who might be on the cusp of the heart/head debate. Also, see the Winston-Salem Journal for more coverage of a similar nature featuring Roy.
