The Mint Hill Record says Mecklenburg County should repeal the half-cent transit tax. East Charlotte and Matthews and Mint Hill have noticed that the $470 million North line commuter violates all the decision rules the Metropolitan Transit Commission used to nix rail for the Independence Corridor.
No federal money, low ridership, and utterly driven by the supposed new development it will bring to the North corridor. Once again a land use, political decision masked as something to do with transportation. Very sad. We need a new plan.
