Surprise, the Journal says the state House should follow the Senate’s lead and apologize for slavery:

For many blacks, an apology is not just symbolic, but an admission of past wrongs that’s crucial if they’re ever to move forward together with whites. That’s understandable. For that reason alone, the full legislature should approve a bill apologizing for slavery. Then, the state and all its citizens should have all the more reason to move forward together.

The lead editorial calls House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit with Syrian President Bashar Assad “ill-advised.”
