An AP article on News14.com:

State officials need to spend more money helping at-risk students in public schools. That’s according to advocates who filed a court motion. Their motion urged a judge [Judge Howie Manning Jr. (JHM Jr.)] to force North Carolina officials to spend more money to help disadvantaged students.

JHM Jr. should not be very sympathetic to this. His last memo discounted the “money will solve all problems” argument. The truth is that there are multiple factors that contribute to the failure of at-risk kids. Fortunately, I can solve each and every one of these problems.
