Yesterday, a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up in an Israeli shopping center, killing at least one and injuring dozens. When emergency responders arrived they realized that one of the “victims” they were about to treat was actually a second bomber who had been injured by his compatriot’s blast and never pulled his detonation cord or whatever. Israeli cops immediately dispatched the guy with about four shots to the head.

Predictably, the Palestinian authorities are complaining about the “inhumane” treatment of the bomber. But what was really interesting was one of the comments to the blog post linked in the last sentence:

If there was no immediate threat from the suspected bomber then I think your state should consider adopting some sort of “courts” or “justice system” in order to give people suspected of a crime a “fair trial.”

No immediate threat? A suicide bomber with a bomb vest on is still alive, trying to set off his bomb (see the video liked above) and this igmole thinks there is “no immediate threat.” Maybe he would have preferred the police to walk up to him and disarm the bomb as the man was trying to detonate it. No, the cops did the right thing. They gave the guy what he wanted: a quick death.
