What Mooresville is spending to prepare for its wastewater treatment plant expansion is substantially higher than many other comparably sized or larger projects throughout the Southeast, a Tribune study shows.
The town has committed to spending up to $520,000 for the initial study of its Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) expansion project, which could cost at least $25 million. The expansion process has been rife with controversy since October.
