State Rep. Thomas E. Wright of Wilmington becomes the latest member of the Jim Black gang to become ensnared in criminal charges. Yesterday a Wake County grand jury indicted Wright on six felony charges related to obtaining $350,000 in funds he put to his personal use.
In other words, Wright is charged with being yet another member of the General Assembly who turned political power into personal wealth.
Yep, 2008 will be busy indeed.
