I’m gonna say that mere lack of space explains the local Knight Ridder outlet producing a less detailed snapshot of the city council primary tussle between GOPers Mike Castano and Andy Dulin than the one produced by the a local cable news program.
At any rate, the money quotes:
“Light rail is a waste. It’s a black hole,” Castano said. “It’s something we should have never been involved with. I’m totally against it and haven been from the beginning.”
Dulin has a slightly different point of view.
“I’m against it and I wished it hadn’t started, but we’ve got it,” he said. “What I’d like to do is hold the feet of the transportation folks to the fire. Everything they spend, we need to know about it.”
