Touting Clinton’s experience, Easley said “she’s been around the track on more than one occasion. And she might have gotten loose from time to time but she never spun out and lost control”
“If you want to win the race, you put somebody in the car that knows how to drive, and they get it done,” he said.

Asked whether he feared the nomination battle would rage on until the convention, Easley added, “If it goes all the way to Denver, I don’t think it would be bad for the party. I don’t think it would be bad for the country.”
