The dying embers of a fire started in mourning for the Republican Party is keeping warm the spirit of conservatism for some pundits. Among them is Marc Rotterman, whose article in Human Events online (screened by the News&Observer) goes far to separate a Republican loss from the livelihood of conservative principles. John Hood, instead of eulogizing, is focused on the present. Without a doubt, said John on News 14 and in the Wilmington Star-News, Republicans “got outmaneuvered, outraised and outrecruited.” Nationally, he sees U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer as a good choice for the majority house leadership position, if for no other reason than that he’d be the sunglasses to the Pelosi liberal radiation.
