One former legal client is none too happy with his performance. He claims a $2500 retainer paid to Mackey did not produce any actual legal work on his behalf.
As Mecklenburg County Commissioner Norman Mitchell has suggested, it sure would be nice to know why those who recruited Mackey for the sheriff’s post did not do their homework. Then again, we do not even know who recruited Mackey for the post.
