Why am I skeptical —– plans are big, but details are few surrounding a plan to create a “public-private partnership” to possibly reopen Greensboro’s White Street landfill “using better technology to control issues such as odor and waste management.”

Interesting that City Council member Mike Barber —- who had proposed reopening White Street to household garbage, didn’t attend Tuesday’s night’s meeting and thus was unable to respond. Remember that Barber won’t be at any more meetings come November, so who knows where this new plan will go, depending on the outcome of the city elections.
