Here is another piece analyzing the weaknesses of John Edwards.

A point which I haven’t yet seen discussed is the role Edwards played on the Senate Judiciary Committee in preventing votes on nominees for Court of Appeals vacancies. He wasn’t as obnoxious as the likes of Schumer and Leahy, but he dutifully went along with the filibuster strategy of Ralph Neas and others who believe that only hard-left types should sit on the federal bench.

How about this for a question to Edwards: “You have said that you want to make America more fair, but wasn’t it unfair to use the filibuster in order to block Senate votes on judicial nominees such as Miguel Estrada who were rated as highly qualified even by the liberal American Bar Association?”
