The News & Observer reports that the defense will ask that the rape accuser not be allowed to identify the accused players in court. They also ask that the botched and unethical lineup be thrown out. Speaking of which, The N&O has a fascinating video of the upstanding young woman identifying the three players at police headquarters. I say upstanding sarcastically, of course, a day after it was learned that DNA from several men was found on and in the accuser. I laugh when I recall when the first news stories called her an honor student just trying to better herself and raise her kids by dancing in front of wild rich white lacrosse players just to make an honest buck.
Judge Osmond Smith should throw this case out tomorrow at the scheduled hearing. If he doesn’t, the injustice continues.
