This time in the Freakonomics blog, rather than in the “real” New York Times.
Again I am struck by the similarities between the current situation and Japan’s lost decade. John Makin at AEI and Yves Smith at Naked Capitalism are among those who have had this thought earlier. Makin’s comments really put egg on the face of the wise guy who wrote this post last year.
