Looks like 117 of them to be exact. Doug Smith reports that what was a 25-story hotel-condo project on Caldwell Street smack up against the Uptown arena will move forward as a 16-story hotel. No condos.
A hotel on the site should be a license to print money, provided the property crime issue in Uptown parking lots is addressed. The condos? It is pretty clear that the QC was ramping up a wave of speculation in the sector that — happily — was punctured before it could induce the construction of failing assets.
