The left hopes to cash in on the ignorance it has cultivated among Americans on the New Deal. Supposedly, it rescued the nation from the terrible Depression, but in truth, all the government intervention made things worse and prolonged the misery.
The trouble is that very few leftists are interested in the truth about it. The disinformation they spread is useful to them in attempting to shove down everyone’s throats their notion that a greatly expanded state would bring us all joy. Of course, it won’t, but it will bring joy to all those who enjoy bossing other people around.
