Today the editors of the News & Observer address Democratic Party chairman Randy Voller’s tax delinquency issues.  Apparently, he owes $286,000 in back taxes and penalties.  That’s not funny.  That’s kinda sad.

The funny part is this quote:

The Democratic Party is in trouble in North Carolina, and Republicans understandably will make more trouble with this issue. This is a shame, not because one party is better than another, but because the public deserves two strong parties competing in a marketplace of ideas for votes.

Yes, the public deserves (at least) two strong competing parties, but apparently they do not deserve newspapers that embody the marketplace of ideas.
