The Democrats are on the wrong side of voters on important issues. Gov. Roy Cooper’s approval rating is dismal, and he’s under water on one of the single most important issues to North Carolina voters – school choice. Polls show that parents want the ability to choose where their child attends school. That’s something Cooper has been openly hostile to. He’s been hostile to all choice options because his constituency is the teachers union. He hasn’t listened to parents and has allowed schools to remain closed. Even though he’s not running for re-election in 2022, many of his Democrat colleagues are. They are completely out of touch with voters on school issues, and if they don’t change, they’ll have a long, cold night on November 8th.
