nnReginald Lamar Johnson was paroled on February 3rd after serving 23 months of a possible 37 month sentence on a felony conviction for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. In January 2006 Johnson was arrested and charged with two counts of AWDWISI, armed robbery, another felony, and a misdemeanor drug charge. All charges but the single AWDWISI charge were evidently dropped.

Reginald Lamar Johnson was arrested on March 30th by CMPD and charged with hit-and-run and possession of marijuana. He was out of the Mecklenburg County Jail in three hours. It is unclear why his parole was not revoked.

Reginald Lamar Johnson was arrested last night and charged with the murder of a 15-year-old boy in a West Charlotte park. Johnson is also a suspect in another nearby murder-robbery which took place hours before. CMPD believes Johnson started his day with a robbery and carjacking in South Charlotte and committed another robbery-carjacking later in the day.

Update: WBTV picked up on Johnson’s parole and tracked down the father of the 15-yeard-old boy Johnson is charged with shooting.

“Somebody tell me why this man is still on the street, he got a record like that?, asked William Adams, Sr.

Because Peter Gilchrist, Parks Helms, Malcolm Graham et al — the totality of the local power structure — want it that way Mr. Adams.
