Alan Ditmore has long been involved in local politics. He used to be a regular common tater at city and county meetings. He is perhaps best known for wearing T-shirts with pro-abortion messages written in what looked like shoe polish. Ditmore ran for office a few times and collected a few votes each time. His forte is making absurd recommendations based on the logical connection of various assertions from government leaders. Today, he has a letter in the Mountain Xpress briefly sketching how the City of Asheville’s policies are contributing to homelessness. It will be written off as “crack,” since Ditmore is the guy who tries to apply logic to bombast.
