The NCAA is so caught up in purblind multicultural sensitivity that it is now demanding UNC-Pembroke to study and report to them on its use of its “Braves” mascot and logo. Seems the NCAA’s Minority Opportunities and Interest Committee “generally considers the use of such mascots offensive” and therefore expects UNCP to answer for itself. UNCP’s report is due May 1.
I offer freely to UNCP to take and use the following for its report to the NCAA:
We’re a historically Indian school, you idiots. We’re not offended. What’s your problem?
