The News & Observer ran my letter today in response to William Schlesinger’s deplorable op-ed from last Saturday demanding the revocation of an air permit for Duke Energy’s Cliffside coal-fired power plant.
No amount of pollution reduction or mitigation will ever satisfy the environmentalists, so their cries for action should be ignored in favor of economically sensible measures that truly benefit public health.
