Here’s what I think they’ll do. With the 13th pick take one of the two quality backs — Stewart or Mendenhall — that will be there and are head shoulders above what is left. With the 43th pick they’ll go defense with DT Trevor Laws out of Notre Dame. Marty Hurney and Foxy love players from big programs and DT is a real need.

From there it is a crap shoot. They could go with a huge OT in Anthony Collins from Kansas, who is probably a year away from contributing — but that is Marty’s style. Redshirt guys. A few picks later maybe a safety in DaJuan Morgan from N.C. State. For DE depth, might go to Jeremy Thompson in the 4th — he’s from Wake and Charlotte Christian so a nice angle there.

But hey, no matter where they land, they’ve got to find a least one playmaker on either side of the ball and at least one more weekly contributor. A home run would be a 1200-yard rusher and consistent upfield push from Laws who takes about a third of the DT snaps. Anything less, and I don’t think this team makes the playoffs and the Fox era ends.
