A University of Georgia student wrote inappropriate remarks on a professor’s evaluation and now is being sent to re-education camp and is asked to write a 1,200-word essay apologizing to gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgendered students. But here’s the catch: students are promised anonymity when they fill out teacher-evaluation forms.

What’s the lesson here? In the immortal (but censored) words of Otter in “Animal House”: “You (bleeped) up. You trusted us!”

I blame Georgia’s current president, Michael Adams. He embarked on a P.C., multicultural crusade the minute he set foot on that hallowed campus from some small school in Kentucky. That’s sort of like hiring a Div. III assistant coach as head coach at a Div. I power. Only the money from Georgia’s education lottery has covered his flawed leadership.
