BAM! WAP! POW!

It is the battle of century as old Myers Park money dukes it out with new Myers Park money!

THUD! CRASH!

Who will survive this titanic struggle of egos and checkbooks?

Actually, I think both sides have valid points and it is shame it has come down to clumsy government regulations to sort them out. We should’ve never come to the point where obscure zoing regs are used to shut down eight home-building projects, but here we are.

Clearly, no one has an absolute right to do anything they want on a piece of property. Neighbors have a certain expectation that they’ll be able to enjoy their property free from your intrusions, noise, runoff, etc. At the same time, the neighbors do not own the parcels in question and cannot have utter veto power over changes they do not like. Balancing those claims is the tricky part.

Hence my expectation of a cheesy, unsatisfying comic-book ending now that the city is on the case.

CRUNCH!
