Clinton and Obama are trying hard to make it seem as though NAFTA is a disaster for the United States. Philippe Legrain, writing in the WaPo, points out herethat they’re attacking myths.

Mencken put it well — “The whole aim of practical politics is to menace the people with an endless procession of hobgoblins.”
