A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals affirmed a lower-court ruling against the Learning Center Charter School in its funding dispute with the Cherokee County school board.

In other opinions released this morning:

  • A unanimous three-judge panel reversed a trial court and ruled in favor of former Winston-Salem State University Provost Pedro Martinez in his salary dispute with the university. That case now heads back to the trial court for further action.
  • A unanimous three-judge panel affirmed a trial-court ruling against the Town of Matthews in a zoning dispute with a medical waste incinerator operator trying to upgrade its facility to comply with new state air quality regulations.
