A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals ruled this morning in favor of the state Board of Barber Examiners in a dispute with the owner of three Triangle hair salons that lacked barber licenses. A trial court had ruled that the state barber board could not impose civil penalties against the salon owner. Appellate judges disagreed, ruling entirely in favor of the barber board and against the salon owner.

Among other opinions released this morning from the N.C. Court of Appeals, a unanimous three-judge panel ruled in favor of Harnett County in a worker’s compensation dispute with a paramedic.
