A unanimous three-judge panel of thre N.C. Court of Appeals has affirmed a lower-court ruling allowing Catawba County to use its eminent domain power to take land for a sewer line associated with a local public landfill.

  • A unanimous panel affirmed a lower-court ruling requiring a man convicted of taking indecent liberties with a minor to enroll in satellite-based monitoring. 
  • A unanimous panel affirmed a lower-court ruling in favor of the City of Greenville, in connection with a fatal shooting involving a city police officer.
  • A unanimous panel reversed a lower-court ruling and allowed Greensboro to pursue a $2,345 bill from a man with 80 unpaid parking tickets. 
  • A unanimous panel affirmed a lower-court ruling in a dispute over tobacco product advertising.
  • A unanimous panel affirmed a lower-court ruling involving a dispute between a private business owner and the Caldwell County Railroad Company and Economic Development Commission.
