N.C. hands out tax breaks for films….

…But not for films about North Carolina.

Under the Dome reports the state handed out $220 million in tax breaks to help land “big-name projects” such as “Iron Man 3,” “Homeland” and “Hunger Games.”

How ironic that on the same the N&R runs a front pager on the new Zack Galifianakis-Will Farrell project ‘Dogfight,’ in which the two funnymen will play political rivals vying for the state’s fictional 14th District.

Filming is underway in New Orleans, which offered up a better tax incentive deal.
