Nobody plays the race card these days like the NAACP, which really doesn’t have much room to talk these days. But give them points for chutzpah, anyway:

The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

When I read that bit, it sounded familiar. Then I figured it out. It’s the same kind of demagoguery I’ve been reading in The News & Observer news and opinion pages, and from people like Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker, regarding the duly elected Wake County School Board.
