Wake County’s “busing for diversity vs. neighborhood schools” debate attracted attention again today during a lunchtime presentation at the Campbell University Law School.

Richard Kahlenberg, senior fellow at the Century Foundation, and Abigail Thernstrom, adjunct scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, offered very different approaches to the notion of assigning students based on a goal of achieving socio-economic diversity.
