Currently the only state in the union that requires its counties to pay a portion (non-capped) of the total cost of Medicaid, North Carolina may be getting some relief thanks to another state’s reform proposal. Some current ideas for reforming our state’s cost distribution model are a little hokey – neither addressing the problem with runaway costs, nor providing a solution other than slight-of-hand taxing tricks.  CLI director and JLF Vice-President, Chad Adams, provides Rocky Mount residents with a breakdown of the current (non)solutions in the discussion.
