Says here that when the Seattle Supersonics reappear in their new home of Oklahoma City they’ll go by the name of Thunder.
Ah, but is that a misdirection move? Turns out that there is already a pro Thunder in OK.
I’ve got to believe David Stern’s bunch is smart enough to avoid a lawsuit with a minor league football team. Then again, Stern and company insisted that a new Uptown arena would solve the Bobcats attendance woes.
Update: Mildly related, the Atlanta Hawks look like that they are going to lose a young star to — a Greek pro team. Huge.
