In a decision issued this morning, the NC Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of former Greensboro Police Chief David Wray in his ongoing and complicated legal battle with the city following his resignation in 2006. In this case, the court—in a 2-1 split decision—reversed the decision of a lower court ruling that dismissed Wray’s claims for reimbursement for “substantial litigation expenses” related to various lawsuits filed over the years.

Because the appeals court decision was split, expect the city to appeal to the N.C. Supreme Court.
