Where has Jerry Meek been hiding for the past few weeks? Meek is the chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party and, one would think, reads blogs and newspapers. He even has a blog. How is it then that in his search for a new blogmaster for the state Dems he cross posts to a lefty North Carolina Web site that can be nearly as profane as Pandagon and Shakespeare’s Sister, the sites where John Edwards recruited his ill-fated blog team two weeks ago?:

The lesson from the Edwards affair ? that you can’t play footsie with the nutroots without getting slimed yourself ? seems lost on Meek. Maybe he’ll get an NC blogger every bit as foul-mouthed and religiously bigoted as Amanda Marcotte and Melissa McEwan. They’re certainly out there. I hope his search is successful.
