Tonight CBS Evening News will feature North Carolina’s high school reform efforts, focusing on the Learn and Earn/Early College initiative.
I will say this one more time: There is no evidence that Learn and Earn is an effective program for improving student achievement or increasing the graduation rate. I do not expect these apparently inconsequential concerns to arise in the report. So, enjoy the tradition of fine, objective journalism that the citizens of the United States of America have come to expect from the Columbia Broadcasting System.
